Heart Disease :Why ? When ? Prevention?
Mediterranean and low fat dietary programmes reduce the probability of death and heart attack in patients at heightened risk of cardiovascular disease.
A number of advantages have previously been connected to the Mediterranean diet, which is high in olive oil, nuts, seafood, whole grains, and veggies. Major cardiovascular events like heart attacks (myocardial infarction) and strokes have been known to be reduced by it, and it has also been shown to prolong fit people's lives.
The Mediterranean and low-fat dietary programmes "probably reduce the risk of mortality and non-fatal myocardial infarction in people at increased cardiovascular risk," according to the study, which was conducted by an international team of researchers and published in The BMJ.
